Success Stories

In 2002 Informobility implemented the first of a series of mobile e-Survey solutions. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) was deployed over a period of one year for Oman's Ministry of National Economy (MONE), and was the precursor for Informobility pursuit for excellence in the mobile data collection domain.

The following year unfolded a sequence of company achievements, that rendered tangible business benefits for several governments in the Gulf Cooperation Council. The first of these achievements was the successful implementation and deployment of the World's first e-Census solution; the population and establishments e-Census solution deployed in Oman in 2003. This solution cut the time for data dissemination to one-tenth of the time it took in the previous census ten years earlier. This project was partially financed and monitored by the United Nations ESCWA.

Building on this success, Informobility was even more determined to emerge as the region's leading mobility provider. Over the next two years the company has implemented and deployed over ten additional e-Survey solutions for entities representing establishments, fisheries and agriculture, and tourism. Most recently Informobility has was awarded a tender in late 2004 by Kuwait's Minister of Planning to implement the data collection and back-office analysis modules for the population census.
